The very challenging Project of undergrounding part of an existing High Voltage 150kV Transmission Line was signed between Total Eren and Paralos Energy.
The specific Transmission Line, routing on the Kithaironas mountain, is exposed to extreme weather conditions, suffering often damages at the highest parts of the route. To protect the Project from adverse weather conditions, Total Eren decided to underground the most exposed part of the Transmission Line, approximately 2,5km out of 13km of total length, on a very demanding terrain. The challenging nature of the Project is not limited to the technical peculiarities but extends to the time schedule demands, as the shut down of the very productive 25,5MW Wind Farm “Kithaironas” must be minimized.
Total Eren awarding Paralos Energy with such a demanding Project proves the trust built between the two companies over years for successful cooperation.
